Good video, my 80 is a 1991 gun, has a Titan spring, TBT guide, and piston sleeve, steel one removed, using my Hawke airmax 30 sf compact 4-16x44 I'm getting pellet on pellet at 70 yards, 10.6 grain 955fps average 21.47ft/lb.

You know what would have been great was if you would have showed the process of breaking it down and putting it back together for us people that don't know what the hell they're doing the well done at the end with the shots

Purchase Terry Robs hw80 tuning guide. Early HW80's cocking shoes prone to breaking, new ones ok have been upgraded.

Just came across your video....I recently purchased a Beeman R1 in .22 caliber that has factory open sights, so I am sure it's an early rifle. Need to know a list of the products you purchased and where to obtain them....can you post links to everything that you purchased for the project when you have a chance?? I reached out to Pyramid Air and they DO NOT currently stock the updated cocking plate, they referred me to Air Venturi.....Thank you!

👋🏾sup brAh! Vortek products on the web. The kit is the PG-4 HO. As far as the cocking plate, I believe in the video it shows the part # if not you can contact Vortek products for the part # and tell them you saw the Beeman r1 tuning on airguns & pesting channel on KZbin braddah👊🏾😎

Great video 😉👍. So the compression tube of your R1 is the same diameter of the R9?

@@airgunspestingch.8426 No disrespect at all, but the compression tube on the HW80/R1 is bigger than the HW95/R9.

@@airgunspestingch.8426 No problem. Love your channel 😉👍. I thought perhaps that the HW80 had a smaller compression chamber because it was an older version. I remember Tom Gaylord's blog on the Beeman R1. He said that they were shooting at 900 FPS and a year later they had them going 1000 FPS.

Did you need to elongate the cocking slot in the interior of the stock to allow for the new cocking shoe ??

@@airgunspestingch.8426 It should be under the barrel near the breech…I was curious because mine starts with 92 and I’m guessing that’s the manufacturing date. I posted my R1 on the AGN forum under “traditional Airguns” thread if you want to take a look at it. The title is “Got an R1…I been missing out.” These rifles are so nice.
