Across Europe, Ford have partnered with local companies to ensure all Wallboxes are installed by professional engineers. Ford have partnered with British Gas Gas in mainland UK and Centrica in Northern Ireland to deliver Wallbox Installation solutions.*
To get your home charging point installed, just contact your Ford Dealer who will be able to put you in touch with the local engineers to start your installation process.
Your Dealer can also give you more information on any government grant schemes that may help you cover the small costs of the Wallbox installation.
A home charging point is the safest and fastest charging method for your Kuga PHEV. It provides a dedicated, high-power outlet, installed wherever charging is convenient for you, and can charge an empty battery to full in around 3.5 hours.

With the attached cable on a Ford Wallbox, you can plug directly into your vehicle. Or if you’d prefer to use a third-party charging point, it will need to use a Type 2 Charging Cable that is compatible with your Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid.
With the FordPass app connected to your Hybrid SUV, you can monitor the Wallbox charging status remotely. Whether you’re sat on the sofa, making a coffee or out for a walk, you’ll know when it’s charged and ready. You can even schedule charging ahead of time, by letting the app know when you’d like to leave. So your Kuga PHEV is ready and waiting for you, and not the other way around.
