Shouldn't a prerequisite be an app that allows you to enter your customer contacts? Which module allows you to enter vendors, and customers etc?

Hi, thanks for pointing it out! There are indeed some prerequisites for that specific module, it is Invoicing and Mail (As stated on the custom module site apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/16.0/base_accounting_kit/ , in App Dependencies field). As for the module that allows us to enter vendors and customers, it's named Contact and it is available out-of-the-box for free in Odoo 16 community edition, so you can just click Activate button on the Apps page.
