I'm glad injora has cheaper but quality items. Being disabled and on a fixed income, a r/c hobby is difficult to keep up with the hobby. Great video as always.

So glad Injora is coming out with stuff for this truck now. Im building his & hers trucks so everything is costing double, but worth it to have the wife out on the rocks with me

Thanks for the date and always enjoy the content. I am glad to see injora is dropping the parts for them. I am still waiting for the release on my Ascent 18 and it to ship. 🤞 Can always use some updated parts used or not.. 😁

Perfect video to show off the budget upgrades for this truck. It's super cool that you make it a family activity too. Thank you for what you do to support the RC community. Sign me up for the "Cape Crawlers Customized" extra brass parts lol.

Nice! I’ve solely used Injora upgrades on my SCX24 and I’m really pleased with its performance. Not too expensive, and a leap in its capability. Looks like it’s doing the same for the Redcat!

Loving my Redcat, I've got a few Injora bits, wheels and links(and some RBSLs). Otherwise, mostly stock. It crushes lines and I have it setup for class 1

Love your content, dude. My boy has an FMS K5, and we are having a blast together. My wife even likes these mini trucks. I have had my eyes set on the ascent18 since it came out. If you are still giving away the brass, it would help a family get into the hobby.

Nice vid! The Ascent18 is an awesome little rig, but some extra weight seems to help a lot. What servo are you running with that setup?
@CapeCrawlers6 ай бұрын
I'm running the LGRP tremor servo. I like it a lot and it's one of only a couple that I found will fit the stock mount.
@jonathanmcdonald54116 ай бұрын
Thanks for the info. The only weight I've added so far is the brass beadlocks, so the stock servo has done well, but I'm sure it wont last once I add more weight.

How much total cost is it for total redcat brass versus the $79 for injora at your door next day on amazon.
@CapeCrawlers6 ай бұрын
I would have to add it up again, but I dare say the redcat upgrades were over $200. Closer to $300 if I remember correctly.
@snörre236 ай бұрын
I wish Injora made parts for the CR18P platform, dont know why they completely left that out. Being in Europe ordering parts from Asiatees or Fair RC gets very expensive.
@AnySumptionBanter6 ай бұрын
thanks for being honest about the redcat parts being expensive. i just had a conversation about the furitek system being far more expensive than just this rig; that doesn't match in value compared to the fusion in 10th scale. there is certainly inflation and we should stop being conditioned to think there is value; considering you can't sell your rig for more than even half what you upgraded it, that should tell you right there how valuable those upgrade parts really are.
@CapeCrawlers6 ай бұрын

Did you modify the silicone inserts? Your tires are flexing far more than my Injora tires on the yellow inserts. I am running brass wheels, front portals, and diff covers, so the truck is nearly as heavy as yours.
@miguelcandelaria4606 ай бұрын
A lot of the tire deflection is likely due to how soft the LGRP Black Labels are.
@CapeCrawlers6 ай бұрын
I did not modify them. The LGRP tires are soooo soft so that's probably the cause.

@scottbeville49086 ай бұрын
if your budget is $200, the ascent 18 isnt a horrible choice honestly, just know that from right now it may be awhile before you get your hands on it, i ordered mine a few weeks ago and they are saying mid July is probably the next round of shipments, but with injora coming out with a bunch of stuff for it, you will be able to equip it pretty reasonably for $80 i think
@BrettB-n1s6 ай бұрын
