Installing an affordable rear bumper on a 2009-2018 Ram.

I just bought a NIXON rear bumper for my 2023 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock on EBAY for 309.00 + tax, it came with license plate lights and sensor holes drilled, unfortunately the plate light holes are a different size so i can't replace but i got some LED bulbs for it. I just gave it 4 coats of Rust Oleum rubberized undercoat from Walmart, i love the texture and deep color after about 3 coats, only $8.00 a can, getting it installed this coming Tuesday.

Did you ever come up with a cool solution for plate lights? All the after market bumpers don’t have provision for factory plate lights. Just a single old school light which I prefer to avoid.

What type of bolts did you use to replace the ones attaching the bumper to the truck at 2:41 ?

Sorry I completely forgot to add that in. I just replaced the 8.8 bolts with 10.9 grade bolts. Metric grade is different than standard bolts. An 8.8 = Grade 5ish and 10.9 = Grade 8ish. Never use a Grade 5 or 8.8 for bolts that could sustain a high shear load.

Did you run a switch for the lights or tie them in somewhere?

If you’re doing it for off road, run a switch. If you’re not off road much, have it power with reverse lights.
