Installing an RS Spoiler on a Focus ST

**4 month update** I filled the RS and the crack with “bondo professional gold filler” and sanded it smooth. I’ve had no problems since and it’s been through the hot, cold, snow, and rain and it’s holding up great. I repainted it and put on spraymax 2k clearcoat and then polished it. I would highly recommend doing this since it turned out to be almost like a factory paint job. I also painted the middle part gloss black.

I love this idea, its the same logic as swapping a small wrx wing for the sti wing

but at least he is filling in the RS logo on the side of the wing and isn't trying to up badge it but just likes the look of the wing

Doesn't look bad leave it, not a bad spray paint job should of painted the black with flat black with satin finish clear

Donovan Morales Yes I would recommend it, I fixed the crack with some bondo and it’s been great since. I still have it on and I’ve had no problems

The issue with your top plate is, they haven't put the corresponding mounting points to screw the side pieces together, I've looked at the one I bought ( UK ) and watched back your video a few times and you do have the screw mounting points on the side panels, but the company hasn't bother to make the corresponding holes in the top plate to fix them together securely, I admire your patience but I'd have sent that straight back

Fits all hatchbacks from 13 and up

Use fiberglass filler instead of bondo next time. Bondo isn't meant to fill in huge holes.

Yoo what bondo are you using? I’m trying to do this but the bondo I have is grey instead of a red color and it’s taking way to long to dry

I used bondo gold professional filler. Pretty easy to use and I got it from my local auto parts store

Wat paint did you use ? I used the Yz AutoZone n it was too gray

Brandon Johnson I used duplicolor YZ. Make sure to get a good clear coat because some can discolor in the sun or have a slight tint to it. I would recommend spraymax 2k clear, it looks way better than anything else I’ve used

Je suis une star The color match is perfect but since it’s spray paint the finish isn’t perfect. Don’t use cheap clear coat because if it’s not automotive clear coat, it might change the color. It happened to me once before. If you have the money I would recommend getting it professionally painted. I’d imagine it would be around $100
