Installing an X Pipe on the Mustang!

In this video we are replacing the factory resonator with an SR Performance X Pipe. This was the cheapest X Pipe to add to the Magnaflow Axleback to just help out with a little bit of the sound.
By the way, sorry for bad quality. Messed with my camera settings and now it seems to have some noise once enlarged to full screen.

all you needed to do is make a horizontal cut about 2 3eds long. then use expander. I hVE DON SEVERAL IT WORKS GREAT.

It puzzles me why Sr didn't just expand the other end so it fits over stock pipes for better clamping. The butt to butt connection with a clamp worries me, what if one slips off from all the vibration? I'm getting mine installed today and I hope it's good

It tightens up pretty good actually! Never had a problem with it to this day so far, and I drive the car pretty hard lol do you have stock mufflers on the car still?

bru.. i use a sawzall every day. press the footpad up against the pipe and hold it Still... you no use a cutting action with a reciprocating saw.. jus a tip

i use a cutting action to use the whole blade. lasts longer and keeps the blade cool. i only buy the long blades. but yeah sometimes you have to push it into the workpiece.

Where did you get the clamps?

I think I just used the one's that were already on the car. But I ended up getting some new clamps from a nearby shop because these weren't keeping a tight hold

hey man just put mine on today I have a 2017 GT. anyways I was wondering if you felt around your clamps towards the bottom? since they are butt to butt I'm getting a pretty good leak. I think I might try to slide the clamps back and put some exhaust wrap around the pipes then slide the clamps back over. let me know if yhou did anything about that part!

Haven't had an issue with an exhaust leak yet. But if you have the tools, I would suggest trying to weld it together and then still try to use the clamps (just incase you don't do the best welding job).

Shouldnt clamp you should weld it better .. Dont want to have an exhaust leak

Definitely agree. Just don't have access to a welding machine and don't feel like paying for it to get done lol. Haven't had a leak yet though! So I'm hopeful.

I hear it too, the stock clamps aren’t very good and don’t clamp very well. I’ve been meaning to fix it, but still to this day I haven’t done anything about it 😅 but thanks!

Manny ramirez I'm sure it does, but it only voids the warranty for that part of the car. If my car messes up somewhere else then it's still covered.
