Which are the ports used for the Minio Replication and it required the bidirectional way ? do we use the diffrent ports for for Primary to Secondary sites replicaton

Hello, MinIO will use the user chosen API port for replication / bi-directional communication. Importantly, the endpoints need to have valid and trusted certificates to replicate between hosts. The recommended ports are 9000 for the API and 9090 for the WebUI, but these ports can be changed when using the command line, SystemD config, Docker, etc to ports that suit your environment. what ports does one need to open in the firewall (RHEL)? Also, is there a mailing list where minio topics can be discussed?

9000 is the standard API port, 9090 is usually the console port. But these are configurable! There isn't a mailing list, but there is a community Slack on slack.min.io.

You need to provide MinIO with a TLS certificate, then you can use https. The process is documented here: min.io/docs/minio/linux/operations/network-encryption.html

I'm running minio in a virtual machine within a separate, remote server. Is there a set of commands that are used in place of the web-ui?

I assume you mean that you are running the MC client on one machine and the MinIO Server on another machine. If that is the case, you will need to get the IP of your remote VM running MinIO server and use that address for both accessing via the WebUI as well as use that remote VM IP in your MC command. Something like this "mc alias set myminio REMOTE-SERVER-IP:9000 minioadmin minioadmin". Hope this helps! - MJ
