I'm able to get this far and get into rancher. But I am getting errors when I try to create a new cluster. (a lot of "webhook"-related messages) Could you please show us how you create a new "custom" cluster so we can use local VMs for nodes?

Guys I have an interview and I was given task to do . I've done most of it but I'm having issues with Rancher cause I'm to use it for my kubernetes deployments. So the problem is that I can't find the add nodes button on the UI

I'm glad my video was helpful in setting up Rancher platform for you! You can use a Uptime Kuma docker image in the Docker Hub. Docker Hub link provided below. hub.docker.com/r/louislam/uptime-kuma 1) In the Rancher webpage, create new Deployment in Rancher 2) In General tab. a) Set "Image" to "louislam/uptime-kuma" b) set "Pull Secret" to your Docker Hub secret. c) For Port. i) Set "Service Type" to "Node Port" ii) Set "Name" to "kumaport" iii) Set "Private Container Port" to 3001 iv) Set "Protocol" to "TCP" v) Set "Listening Port" to 3001 3) In Storage tab (in Rancher Create New Deployment) a) Add Volume for "Bind Mount" b) Set "The Path on the Node must be" to "A directory, or create if it doesn't exist" c) Set "Path On Node" to "uptime-kuma" (or whatever your directory you like in your base Linux hosting Rancher) d) Set "Mount Point" to "/app/data". I do not have a multi-node cluster in my test bench, and hence do not have a tutorial video. Nevertheless, I do have exposure to that kind of setup. To what capacity are you using the multi-nod cluster? Is it for redundancy for worker node or work and master node? Also, are you looking to host in K3S, K8S and/or RKE? Just want to make sure that when our engineers work on the video we are not too far off.

Make sure you enter the correct container-id. You can get the container id using "docker ps" command. If the "docker ps" command fails, try login as root user using the command "sudo su". Please let me know how you pan out.
