Huh, I have tried Android 14, and it was buggy to the point it was unusable. On the other hand, the builds for Android 13 were so nice that I was using it for a week (w/ Pixel-like customizations) while I was getting my daily driver repaired. Though if you want to daily this phone, I'd recommend even just sticking with stock Oreo instead of Pixelified Android Tiramisu. I've used them both in 2024 and news flash: The full suite of GApps make the phone slow as molasses. Who knew? I'd like to give a basic MicroG config a go too, sometime later Edit: extra shout-outs to Ivan Meler for maintaining builds of LineageOS for devices from the S7 to the Note8

Back in 2019 when I was about 13 and it was two weeks before I started 8th grade, I got a Galaxy S7 edge from a neighbor for free and I remember it had a pink line going down the screen on the right side (apparently very common defect) and it was annoying for a while but I slowly got used to it. It was annoying AT&T silver model on 7.0 and it never got an update for some reason because I’ve seen AT&T ones on Android 8 (same SM-G935A that I had) and mine never got the update. Also from what I’ve seen in your video with Android 14 on that S7 it runs way better than my old A03s did on Android 13. I had bought it as a temporary phone because I broke my iPhone SE 2020 and after I updated to Android 13 I immediately regretted that decision. It would hang on the lockscreen when I swiped up to enter my PIN, and recording video on Snapchat wasn’t easy. I did use my friends Galaxy S10e and that was a much better experience. I only rooted a Vodafone VF695 on 4.4.2 and an LG Sunrise 151G and also an old Motorola Droid on 2.2.3
