After finding myself disappointed by the factory springs, I install some medium rate Bandit UTV springs to upgrade the stance and handling of our Arctic Cat Wildcat Trail. For more information on the Bandit UTV springs and shock covers, visit their website here: www.banditutvsuspension.com/p...

That's awesome Carcajoo! I hope they work out for you like they have for me. If you're interested in checking out more videos, I do have riding videos that show the riding in my area, to give you an idea of the terrain compared to what you might experience from your riding areas. My latest ride video posted I talk about this suspension setup further toward the end: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2HQn5eGn9aJi9E It's not info that's going to contradict this video, moreso further compliments the info from it and serves as an update. Anyway, I'm glad you found it helpful, and I appreciate you taking the time to comment and let me know that you did! Thank you very much for watching and commenting!

Thanks Chad. I like them. I think it's a good setup for most people, and it doesn't cost very much for the upgrade. Thanks for checking out the video sir. Haven't done this stuff in quite a while. Still getting used to talking into cameras, lol.

Hey Tom! Thank you sir! I watched some of your videos the other day. Sounded like Barbie was giving you some starting issues occasionally. Glad to see she's still kind of getting you where you need to go, and that "your doctor's" weren't able to get you off her, haha. I'm thinking about doing a 10 year retrospective on what I like, and what I would or did change on my GS. You have way more seat time than I do though, something like that would be great to hear summed up from you.

@@ROCKINRODNEY Kinda thought of covering those subjects. Kinda not able to function out on distance type rides now. The Brain stroke is limiting me of things. But meh, the left side works great! Just doing video's now that works off my left side of the brain. It is taking more control over from the right side now. Just over a year now.

@@navythomas8 seeing how you are able to put together your sentences in replies has come a long way. I'm glad to see that. I have no idea what that is like, but it must be an incredible challenge trying to relearn the things you've done your whole life. I'm sorry you have to go through that, but I'm glad it's not holding you back.

Hey Man, thanks for the video. Im having trouble trying to decide weather to get to medium or heavy springs. Any suggestions? Thanks man.

Hi. I went with the medium rate springs because this machine is typically only carrying one person and maybe a dog, and the machine carries fairly light loads with recovery equipment and some tools. If I were running 2 heavier people, running alot more equipment and spare tire, and need the suspension to have a stiffer feel, I'd go with the heavy springs. But I believe for most people the mediums are going to be more than fine. Sorry for the delayed response, I guess KZbin isn't letting me know when I receive comments for some reason.

Would you say ride was softer, harsher, or about the same?
@ROCKINRODNEY
@ROCKINRODNEY 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bruce. I wouldn't use harsher to describe it. It is more firm, but it doesn't inhibit the shock valving from doing its job. It does help with the sway feel when cornering with the machine. And I can trust that the ride height that I set it at, will stay at that level. The machine has 1,500 miles on it since the spring change, and it's still sitting at the same height I've pointed out in the video. If I want it to ride higher, I could adjust it as such and feel confident that it'll stay there. It's typically the dog and myself in the machine, and I don't cart around alot of stuff in my box, so these springs feel perfect for my setup. If you have alot of stuff in your machine, then I'd consider the higher weight springs. The folks over at Bandit UTV are very helpful when it comes to the finer details in determining which setup will be best for your machine.

What skid plate did you get?
@ROCKINRODNEY
@ROCKINRODNEY 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Brandon. I went with the Trail Armor skidplate with rocker guards: trailarmor.com/products/trail-armor-arctic-cat-wildcat-trail-wildcat-trail-xt-wildcat-trail-limited-eps-wildcat-sport-limited-eps-wildcat-sport-xt-wildcat-sport-full-skids-with-slider-nerfs-of-trimmed-nerf-for-50-trail-width If I built another Wildcat, I would work with them again. I spent alot of time looking at the different options. There is alot of praise out there for both this product and the customer support that is behind them. WI doesn't have boulder gardens to scrape this thing across, but it handled the Dead horse trail just fine. Thank you for watching and commenting. If you have any other questions, let me know.
