I find it less hassle with putting the bare hair arrest on just put it on runner. Razor blade comes out. Perfect every time no tracing no fussing. Just perfect. Try it sometime.

Fun fact I learned this from changing my griptape on my skateboard, instead of just ripping that rest off, heat it up with a blow dryer and then peel it off. It'll take the glue residue with it and there won't be any need to clean the shelf.
