I work on Arris OM6K, Arris 4000 (RfOG and RF), SA 6944 (Uninstalling 5 a week), CASA R-PHY DA200 and DA 2200, Nokia ISAM 7360 FX 8/16 OLT and Nokia Lightspan SF-8M OLC. I like the Arris OM6K for it's layout. I am looking forward to converting one to RPHY. The Arris 4000 platform doesn't need to be laid out so sloppy. It's like a refreshed design of everything crap from 20 years ago. I also use Technetix trunks and amps. If you're doing a sweep, just plug in the T-Box and your meter and adjust the RX, TX and slope with your phone. If you need to change out an amp (that isn't dead), just save the amp or trunk to your phone or laptop. Swap in the new trunk or node and upload the parameters. Amp name, amp location, recorded input signal, and all the parameters. Technetix uses two AGC QAMs for gain control and you can pick them. You can also use an old analog carrier for gain control or just use temperature control. If you want to change your upstream split, just pull the diplexers, swap in new ones and move the radio dot on your phone from 85mhz return to 204mhz and send to unit. So much new tech. So many new tools.

You do not mess up a node if is little tighter than what he showed. If that node is aerial and air moves that cable, you get get hum into the system, but I doubt I will change his mind..
