It really did - I am hoping the sofa will too. It is listed as Slate Gray but I had to order it without actually seeing it in person. Still waiting for delivery.

Watching this channel kinda reminds me of, This Old House on PBS. You make everything look so easy. The new carpet looks great. Thanks for the update.

Hehe! I loved that show. Each video is about a week’s worth of work. The carpet is great. Cool small A/C unit built into floor up next then cabinets.

Good job ounce again! May I suggest that you use a metal file to soften the corners of your metal bars at the joint, that may prevent some skin scratches as you go along and improve slightly the look. keep up the good work!

Yes - been trying to think of the best solution. Was even thinking of some liquid rubber that is for dipping tool handles - they have a black color. The worst one will be under the sofa but they are sharp.

I guest you could do both that way you end up with an even better protection ;-)

Thanks - I struggled with this for months. I needed to be more reflective of the whole collection of videos. Seems I like building is more my thing. Thanks for coming along!

I didn't see a link for the carpet. Can you tell me again about it. Wjust is called, where you got it and what color? I'm going to have a van in a few days and this would look great inside. You're an amazing and fearless man. Thanks for such great videos.

Thank you! I have noticed I am getting bolder in my attempts at new projects. I have not conquered the hesitation of cutting holes in the roof for vent and solar panels. Hopefully will get to that point but can't stand dealing with water leaks!!!! The carpet is from lowes off the roll. It should be a stock item. It is quite inexpensive. I don't know the name but in the store it looks very gray but with sunlight I noticed it is more a blue-gray. It is a short loop-pile carpet.

Wow! Is there anything you can’t do? Im confused about the ac...will you not be using that large ac unit you had to leave in the kitchen area?I’ll be interested to see how you attach furniture pieces to prevent shifting while travelling.

Thanks! I really won’t use the chassis a/c unit much as it requires engine power. The next video up will be a build of where I take the 5000 BTU a/c unit and embed it in the floor and storage bin. Turned out very good. Sofa is still not here - errrr. Can’t build the bed till I have the sofa installed.

you may need to worry about some of those overlap metal trim pieces catching on some items. maybe some caulking would work to make it safer?

The corners on the left box will all be under the sofa but there will be a bad one on the right that will need some protection. I think I will try to file it down and then look at maybe a rubberized paint coating.

You can eliminate 90% of your trim if you use your glue spreader from the vinyl installation and Tec Stick-N-Stay adhesive and skim coat the floor, then immediately lay down your commercial carpet. The adhesive WILL NOT bleed through to the surface if you use the same teeth as you did on the sheet vinyl. You can also eliminate ALL of the staples. Don't let the adhesive "skin" over before you lay the carpet into it, the carpet backing wicks the moisture out of the adhesive and dries. The carpet can be walked on in an hour after installation.

So you are planning on turning this diesel engine into vegetable oil engine?
@timdillen6 жыл бұрын
It's an interesting idea but might be beyond my abilities. It would be worth researching. The mileage is not the best and diesel fuel is not cheap!
