BMC64 is incredible. I upgraded my TheC64 Maxi to this, using the keyboard, and so happy I did. This, combined with JiffyDos is amazing. Thanks for showing us your DB9 joystick work. Might add this to BmcMAXI64 project. I’m now wondering if IEC can be done via the GPIO. If so, might have to pick up the new 1591 disk drive.

I had and have BMC64 running perfectly and smoothly on a Raspberry pi 3B+ and wanted to switch BMC64 to a Pi3A+ instead so that i could use the 3B+ on another retropie box i'm working on.. When inserting the ready made and working sdcard on the pi 3A+, i get a red solid led with the green led flasing 4 long blinks followed by 7 short and quick blinks. I have tried settng up from scratch on another sdcard, with the same results. I have verified that the pi 3A+ does boot normally with the sdcard flashed to noobs raspi OS. I do have 2 brand new 3A+ and i always end up with these results. Can anyone guide me as to what could be the problem here. As always thanks for your help.

How do you expand the filesystem past 300MB on bmc64?

I have no idea. What are you planing? The whole library of all the 8Bit Commodore machines should fit in there.

Do you know where to find documentation to GPIO connect a C64 keyboard to the Pi for this? (if would be similar to how the controllers were connected)

I can't get my USB Keyboard to work, I tried 2 keyboards no luck, does anyone have any idea why they are not working?

As far as I know you have to plug them in BEFORE you boot. Other than that ... are you using a USB hub? Maybe it's dead. I am using a USB keyboard and it just works. ... and I am not sure if it needs to support the PS/2 protocol. Could be.

@@RetroWK Just a basic HP Keyboard nothing special, tried a second keyboard same problem. Unless its the MicroSD card, I had issues imaging it using Etcher so I resorted to using Win32 imager and that worked. There is nothing else i can think of.

You can use the light version. It will not keep up with every demo but should be ok for most games and tinkering in Basic.
