If your temp gauge jumps and stays on H after the swap, this might help you, because it worked for me. My problem was: ign off, plugging in the middle connetor pegged the temp on max. Cut the brown (gnd, unused on old cluster) and yel/grn wire (bulbs gnd and temp sensor signal ground, goes to a single connector at the thermostat housing) about 5cm away from the connetor, twist and SOLDER together the wires, connecting the brown into the yel/grn wire. What happened was that the signal gnd of the temp gauge was direct gnd, pegging the gauge on max. Otherwise, original distributor and the tach should work fine. Check the bulbs while the cluster is off. Turn signals are wired through the hazard lights switch, so dont drive with it disconneted if you wanna test stuff.

@@ultrainstinct1181 sorry, i have no diagrams.. couldnt find them for my car either. Seems strange that the number of connectors is different, are you sure it fits your car?

I just found this and I have this problem. Could you clarify if I need to solder the two wires in the connector side? Brown from connector to yellow from the cable tail?

@@yomurita oh man, its been a while since i did this, but basically as far as i remember, i cut the brown (i believe the one next to the yellow-green) and soldered the brown from the connector to the yellow-green in the loom. Just took the isolation off the y-g and wrapped the brown around and soldered it. I believe the y-g is the wire that goes to the temp sensor so you have to connect the brown from the connector to it. To figure this out I followed the conductive trails from the clusters and compared them, so you can check it for yourself. Hope I helped with this. Tell me if it worked :)

actually I didnt miss a wire for the temp. the temp works fine at around 7:06 you'll see that the temp is in the middle like in normal state of temp :D

@@jayeconstantino Interesting! Temp didnt work for me and when checked negative ground is missing, perhaps a problem on the printed circuit. Point is such replacement works great and is very exciting to drive having tach on the dash. Regards from Cuba!

hi guys. i also have same ee90 panel gauge. I did diy change of panel gauge to led lights last week. now I have a problem on my gas and temp gauges. The gas gauge now goes to full as soon as I turn the key while my temp gauge no longer triggers the automatic switch on of my rad fan once temp gauge reaches the middle. It just continues to rise to overheat even if I already switched on the aircon with both rad and aux fans running. I believe this is not the correct reading since this only happened after I changed the gauge lights to led. I did not do anything else but change the led bulbs since I don’t know anything about electricals. Can you guys pls help me coz I can no longer drive my corolla sb since I’m afraid that I might overheat on the road although I know that the temp reading is not accurate. Thanks.

not quite sure about the diagram bec when I had it installed it has the same diagram maybe you have different model or it's not really plug and play try searching out "ae92 gauge berdie" he tried checking the diagram bec he didnt have the original distributor

you need to locate the rpm wire and manual input it. maybe you don't have the original distributor that's why it's not automatically wired

it's plug and play if you have the original distributor of your car. but if the rpm didnt work then it means it's not the original distributor. but usually it's plug and play! thanks for visiting my channel man!

I did swap it completely, I didnt bother to change my old odometer bec I am scared that it might not work If I change it to my old. Just swap it plug and play!

Hi, regarding temp gauge, you just add a ground connection to the (-) point of the gauge and it will be fully functional.

actually natutunan ko kay brother breds and ez works garage kay doc chris na mas maganda full tank siya agad tapos if bumaba below half full tank na ulet hindi siya sayang mas maganda daw yun sa life ng makina and ng sasakyan mismo lately bro di ko lang vinideohan kase may mga ineedit at asikaso ako pero nangyari saken below half siya may isang guhit pa pero di na siya mag start upon checking gas lang problema di na umangat kaya ang ginagawa ko lagi kapag half na full tank na agad para monitor mo din kung ayos yung fuel gauge mo :) pero sa mga groups if ever palyado yan sa mga groups naten dito merong mga nag rerepair nyan! good day ka corolla!
