Love the set up. I have the exact same set up on my ZL1. That is the reason why I’m glad I went automatic instead of the manual. I can remote start it and not have to deal with the terrible cold starts ha ha. Wonderful video as usual

That's the down side to having a new vehicle more stuff to take off for a simple job. I put headers on my ride and didn't have to take any extra stuff off only took 20 minutes or so.your doing a great job and looking good while you do it

It was a pain trying to figure it out at first. But really, the distances between the AWE and the Corsa was short. So two 3" diameter straight pipes will merge them without issues. I did not want to go a welded route.

hows the fitment with the plug wires ? cause on kooks headers on cylinder number 5 the spark plug wire is real close to the primary tube. heard even if you put a boot over the wire the to protect it that's not the greatest either. just looking for some info since I haven't heard anything about corsa headers till now. Cause I'm a zl1 1le owner and looking to do this upgrade this winter.

No issues with Corsa. There is more space with the long tubes to reach in and out compared to the stock headers. The rubber boot is protected by a metal casing. As long as nothing it touching the headers, it'll be fine. I've looked at all others.. Corsa just had the better reviews in terns of overall fitment. All will make the same power and sound, just the fitment will differ.

I put my long tube headers on with 2 floor jacks and a piece of 4x4 wood. I had no help, and this job was a pain in the a**! But it was well worth it.

Corsa stopped making these headers. I’m glad I managed to get long tube cat-less headers and the catless xpipe by Corsa before they discontinued. Hope it sounds nice ! Yours sounds amazing!

I have a 2010 zr1 just installed stainless works headers, cat elimination, and it has 2 bullet style mufflers with tips and remote control silencer muffler valves. The car has bolt ons installed like lower 14% pulley, intake, tuning. I believe my car is way too loud and the exhaust note just sounds cheap. Any suggestions on how to return some clean deep notes? Those bullet mufflers were already on the car I installed the headers because I blew honeycomb catylatic ceramic out the back so figured I’d delete and add headers. It’s just to EFen loud. Suggestions?

I got kooks stainless long tubes and hi flow cats for my 5th gen ZL1. It sounds great but I really wanted corsa! My install was a pain in the ass

I think Kooks offers the hi-flow. I know for a 6th gen, there is no option. As for the install..pain lol

Woah! That sounds insanely awesome! Thanks for posting the how to on the header install. Did you receive a CEL for installing the headers and removing the primary cats? I’m going to install my headers soon but thought it required a tune immediately after installation.

It sure does. No CEL like at the moment, but it will eventually come on. You don't need an immediate tune. Even after you get a light you can still drive it. Just don't got WOT all the time lol. A tune is needed to remove the light and also fix the air\fuel ratios.

If you get mufflers with this set up..you'll be 100% fine. Without mufflers like how I have it. I don't think anyone can deal with it on a daily bases. It's not so much the sound for you..but for everyone else around you lol. I drive it hear and there and I track it..so I don't mind it. It's not my daily though.
