Sound wise, there was not much of a difference. As for performance. Might have been a slight difference, but nothing drastic!

Also havw you heard anything regarding DC sport headers for the 09 rolla as opposed to the weapon r or a preference? i heard yours a better at the high end and the ones i got are better at the lower end if remember correctly..

I see more people running the DC sport headers more then the weapon R headers. Might be more of a cost thing then performance. But I believe both headers have a 4-2-1 design. So they should give the same performance out of them.

Brandon do i need a new donut gasket when doing this upgrade? I just got a set of dc sport headers for my 09 corolla i was just wondering it its its needed along with anything else you got for the install.. IE: the 12mm nuts or whatnot and where you purchased looking forward to adding this to the mod list along with the takeda cai, and the brola exhaust, and soon these headers i cant wait also thinking of getting a lighter wheight pulley for my alertnator but i have heard that some people have blown their engines with such mods addtionally i plan to get a jet mass air flow sensor to optimize my intake load. The headers I got, came with a donut gasket. I’m not sure if the DC sport one come with it. If not I would definitely recommend replacing it. And probably replace the main gasket that goes to the whiten as well. The nuts don’t need to be replaced, but I did mine since they were rusty. But I was able to pick up all the additional parts at my local auto zone because I didn’t know the thread size of those nuts.

What does the jet mass air flow sensor do? Like can you give an explanation please trying to learn about my corolla and things to do. So far I've done head light and cold air intake wanna do headers but Idk where to look for good headers for my car and I also wanna get the same borola exhaust as him.

You can do a cold air intake, headers, catback exhaust, throttle body spacer, and a tune. Those are all I can think of right now.

Hi brandon! The heat shield that goes over the headers in my car vibrates against the headers at higher rpm’s and that bothers me. I wonder if you had any issues with stuff burning in the vicinity of the headers when you ran the oem headers without the rusted out exhaust header heat shield. Thanks!

I had mine off for a couple months and didn’t notice any burning of anything around it. I took mine off for the same reason, it was rusting and rattling as well. I would say you will be good!

I kept my stock exhaust and only changed the headers. The headers are a direct replacement.

Honestly these have been very hard for many people to find, just try to search DNA headers for a 2009 corolla. And hope you find a website that has them in stock.

I know grocery getter performance did make a throttle body spacer for the 1.8L engine, not sure if they still do. They are supposedly good quality. But you might be able to find a cheaper one on eBay, that will do the same thing.

I had thoughts about changing them out to white LED’s, but realized that they are soldered to the circuit board, and I don’t know if I want to try that, I’m not the best at soldering. But in one of my future videos you will see me changing out the cluster to something different. And will look much nicer! So stay tuned for that!

Did the dummy sensor come with the headers or did you order it ?

The sensor is just the original O2 sensor. There is No need to get any new one.

Adding headers should help the air flow on the exhaust side. So it should give more power without a tune. But getting a tune will get the most power out of them.

Well you can get an XRS model, which has the 2.4L engine from the Camry, but it’s in the corolla. Otherwise I have heard people doing a 2ZZ swap from the last generation corollas. But that takes way more work and I believe you will need custom mounts and stuff for the 2ZZ swap.

@@chichiorlando I would imagine your going to need to get all new harnesses and A new ECU. But going through all that work it might be easier just to find an XRS, instead of trying to swap the 2.4 into a 1.8L corolla.

Thanks man. I got a hps cold air intake, jet mass air flow sensor, and pedal commander. Last bolt ons I need is header and VTTI sensors. Just don't won't to spend $500 on weapon R header if these are just as good

@@mattparker510 that’s awesome! And someone asked the same question about the weapon R headers. I will say those will give you more power, because they are 4-2-1 headers which are known to give more low end torque. Vs the DNA headers are only 4-1, which are basic, but they are much more free flowing and will give more power as well! But are the weapon R headers worth the extra $400. I don’t think so!

You don’t need to use the heat tape, it just helps keep the heat in the exhaust rather than it going into the engine bay. But I see many people install headers without the tape.

I have a '96 corolla 1.8 & recently found some ebay headers for it (amazon ran out of them) next is a cat back exhaust if amazon didn't run out of those.... so I also found a universal aftermarket ebay muffler with dual 3" tips & 2.5" inlet (I need the 2" to 2.5" adapter) & maybe do a resonator delete

I could imagine finding parts for a 1996 is pretty hard. I have problems finding parts for my 2009 corolla! That’s when you have to start going universal or making custom things for the car!
