This video serves as an excellent representation of RAM and how so many people misunderstand it. A web browser using 200-300MB of RAM nowadays is not memory intensive by any stretch. 1GB is not intensive even, depending on the task you're performing at the time (streaming a HD video for example). Stop eying your RAM guys. Only time to start looking at it is if you're having performance issues. Even then, you're only looking for apps that constantly chew up more and more memory by the second without you even doing anything and not stopping (otherwise known as a memory leak). Otherwise, memory in use is a good thing. Apps cache things in RAM to help speed up fetching of data and improve performance. Your system will never take a hit as long as it doesn't run out of memory. Any percentage of free RAM, no matter how small is all good if your system's still performing. As an example, I've used a gaming laptop with 32GB RAM and an iMac with 8GB RAM. Percentage of RAM in use during regular computing has been more or less the same and performance hasn't taken a hit on the machine with less RAM. Speed of RAM is far more useful than the amount of it you have installed in your system and the speed of Random Access Memory is always gonna be faster than even SSD storage so caching in memory is good for performance, not bad. Sorry for the essay. It just always bugs me when people constantly refer to RAM in use as a metric.

@CreepsNet4 жыл бұрын
When someone wants to advertise their products, they sometimes ask a sketchy company to do it for them. The sketchy company says that everytime someone downloads their product the owner pays 20 cents, The owner agrees; BUT the company advertises it is verification scams and when the kids download it the owner will be happy it's getting someone downloads but he doesn't know that it's the kids that are only downloading it for free stuff, so when the kids realise it doesn't work they'll just delete the app and the owner has to pay 20 cents to the company because of the downloads it got.

Back in school we all had chromebooks and in like grade 4 we found a legitimate extension that downloaded geometry dash to the chromebooks for free, but the admins blocked it after a few months because it was straight up piracy

I think those wierd tutorial extensions might be a scheme by the website to increase traffic. They make deceptive extensions that link back to their site so when people click on them they get redirected and the site owners can sell more ad space and so on.

I love how chrome books advertise that they have no malware, and then support all this nonsense. Are you a safe, locked down environment, or are you a fully fledged customizable OS? Choose google, no one benefits from you trying to do both half assed...

The 15% geico thing just reeks so much of parody. Like it's been a proper meme so much so that I, living in Germany know of this offer being shoved anywhere.
