Installing Google Play Store on DJI Smart Controller without Root Step-by-step

This is how to install Google Play Store
on the DJI Smart Controller step-by-step.
It seems as though some users are having difficulty with this tutorial. There are two things you must do to make sure this works the first time. First, do no open any of apps downloaded by the Google Installer 2.0 untill after they're all downloaded. It is very important. Second, if you're getting a message saying the Play Store is not Certified, the remedy is to wait some amount of time (may take an hour or several, no one knows for sure) then restart the device. That should give it enough time to update the Google registry.
If after 24 hours there's no change after restarting, you must try it again from the beginning. Remember, do not skip any steps and do make sure you do not open any of the downloads in the Installer step until the very end.

I must give you a major bow ofappreciation. You gave us a simple process to follow and after only a few hiccups (had to restart the Dev ID download, four times as I was getting never ending wait times while "searching for mirrors") but mostly it went flawlessly and now LITCHI works. Im sure theyre more benefits to be found. Many thanks sir! If I was more tech savy, Id try to help those of you that seem to be having trouble, but Id be no help. However, I will say one thing, for those of you that have other apks downloaded already, and have your SRC already "personalized" to some extent. I want to confirm that I did NOT do a full factory rest before doing this, and it didnt seem to hurt the process. That said, I didnt have very complex apps installed, (only a browser, es file mgr, antutu benchmark and a few battery and cpu monitors.) So dont get too hung up on that part of the process. I just went through the process. I had to repeat it three times. first time because I messed up the Google installer part. The other two times were simply because my device ID was not accepted. The second time I did not do anything other than cycled the power on the controller and waited before starting back up again. This time it worked.

I'm running the last version of FW for the smart controller and I was able to get this working. Several times along the way I had to reboot the controller when it got stuck trying to sign in or display the GSF number. Took a few trys to get it backing up but it seems to be working now. Updated SmartController to v01.00.0700 and installed on the first try. It's nice having Google photos installed and my drone pictures and video get automatically saved to my Google account. Thank you very much.

Because the Android version is 7.x and the device has very little memory as it is, If you try to run large memory apps on this device you will maybe loose connections on bit flights and crash... Some flight apps need 3GB plus of RAM.

works perfect. you only have to turn off the controller after registration, turn it on again 5 minutes later and then the playstore appears. Register now as normal and everything works. Funktioniert perfekt. Man muss nur nach der Registrierung(04:45) den Controller ausschalten, 5 Minuten später wieder einschalten und dann erscheint der Playstore. Jetzt ganz normal anmelden und alles funktioniert.

I made it to the 4:52, then I received a different signin page. I select a green icon "Sign-In" button and then it tells me, "Checking Info" and "Device is not Play Protect certified", which doesn't allow me to use the playstore. That leaves me back to the beginning without it.

Check out the KZbin info section of this tutorial, it may help you. It's probably one of two things, don't install any of the packages from Google Installer 2.0 until they've all downloaded or you haven't given enough time for the Google Play Certified registry to update.

I have attempted to download two different "Google Installer_2.0.apk" and each says that they have a virus. There's no audio to this KZbin video so I'm not sure what to do. At about 2:25 in this video is where it gets hung up... 96%. Any suggestions?

I had this working great but then I installed the new beta for the Smart Controller and started getting the Play Store services error. I did a factory reset and running the beta and tried to install the Google Play Store but no matter what it no longer works with the beta running so if you want to keep Google Play Store don't install the new beta v01.00.0565.

It won't actually say that it's certified within the Play Store however you will be able to download and use apps.

The solution I found was to find the same apk from another source with the same google search. You'll know its the same apk because the author will be the same. I got mine from APKPure. The installation process was in mandarin but it worked fine.

It seems as though if you're having any issues you need to start from scratch make sure to: 1. Factory reset device 2. Only click "install" and "done" during the Google Installer 2.0 process. Clicking "open" will effect the outcome. 3. Try restarting the device after you've completed all the steps.
