Installing Grand Slam 280 Outrigger Mounts on a Canvas Top

Captain Mark Henderson from the Liquid Fire Fishing Team installs a pair of Grand Slam 280 Outrigger bases on a canvas top of a 36-year-old Classic Mako 228. To install an outrigger base on a canvas top, a TACO pre-drilled extrusion plate must first be welded to the frame. It says that the extrusion plate needs to be welded to the frame first but in the video it looks like there's a mounting kit to mount each side to the tubes. Need to get outriggers ASAP and want to make sure I get everything I need the first time. Thanks !!!

Hi Tracey. Unfortunately, we no longer offer the clamp-on extrusion plates with the pre-drilled holes. We recommend reaching out to a reputable installer or welder who may help.

Hi Mohamed. Unfortunately, we no longer offer the pre-drilled Clamp On extrusion mounting plate. We recommend reaching out to a reputable installer or welder who can help. We do offer pre-drilled extrusion plates that need to be welded, however.

Hi Mohamed. Thanks for your message. Tools needed: Allen Wrench - Knife - Old Screwdriver. Materials needed: Grand Slam Outrigger Base - Grand Slam Outrigger Handle - Screws (included in kit) - Silicone Marine-Grade Sealant.

HI again, the parts are GS-280 and GSE-1939 for the pre-drilled extrusion plates. We no longer offer the Clamp On pre-drilled extrusion plate. So. you will need to have a welder install the GSE-1939.
