Installing ground radials

Another eveloution in the 43' vert antenna I installed. For now the wire up the pole is about 35' long, this may change soon. So glad to be able to bury my radials, no more tripping on them, no more rolling them up to mow or when I'm off to work. Slow and steady on this project, but its coming along. 73 Alpha Echo 7 Quebec Tango
Update- 55' of wire is now strung up the mast, seems to be working well. lots of DX logged. 73

manual says that tuner is not rated for the elements sun, rain etc NG needs to be in an enclosure regards

The tuner was mounted in the window behind a bush, so yes it will get some weather, but not full exposure. It has some weather proofing to it, I would not dip it in water, but I'm not afraid of it getting rained on. I have opened it up to see inside, the seal is good, and I added more silicon to the inside of the antenna feed point. 73

much to much work. might be, you like this kind of sport? Mow down your lawn in autum as much as possible, lay out the radials on ground and they all gone over the winter.... At spring, you will see a clean surface.....

I will never do it manually like that again. In fact I haven't since I reinstalled it recently. I was able to place the tuner out in small group of trees I have on the edge of my property. 500 feet of ground radials are laying on the ground or up in the trees Twisted through the branches at least 10 feet high. The tuner is mounted ten feet off the ground, I used 90 feet of 8 gauge wire , the tip of The Wire is at 100 feet!
