I prefer the Spec-D, with the LED blinker and DRL. The Spyder just has too much going on, in my opinion. Still a good video!

So the wiring harness separates the low and high beams? Stock ranger headlights have lows and highs on the same bulb.

If anyone wpuld know , I need to replace my headlights along with the black plastic 2 Inch straps right below the headlights. I cannot find what there called and I don't see them coming with new headlights when you buy headlights either

They’re called headlight retainers. Inner retainer part # is 1L5Z-13N020-CA, and outer retainer part # is 1L5Z-13N020-BA. Can find them online or at a ford dealer.

awesome video, i was going to get a shop to do it then found this video. just tried mine, i got one headlight working, i have no idea what i did wrong on one light. going to have to try to redo it tomorrow. thanks for the video

I have a question...I just hooked these exact lights up on my 2011 ranger exactly like you did in this video. Now for some reason every time I try to turn on the high beams it blows my fuse. Any help would be awesome. Same lights same truck same installation as in this video but the high beams keep blowing the fuse.

I cannot for the life of me get the 2nd clip up. Do you have to take off the 5.5mm bolt before sliding the outer clips up? Hurt my fingers pretty bad trying to force it up.

I just installed these lights and followed the video 1-1 and for some reason the halo lights and running led lights don’t turn on. Could you help?

Question, did you use the led replacement bulbs or the h1 bulbs? If you used the led, which brand did you use? I have the same problem on my ranger with the led bulbs being bright, but scattering. Thank you for the video.

For these projector lenses we ended up installing LED H1 bulbs. The video right after this one on my channel shows the install of the H1 LED bulb in the projector headlights, along with the comparison of the light dispersion between the halogen and LED. I've also linked everything we used in the description of that video.

Are halos good for night time?? Do they light up the environment better than stock headlights??

Halo's are mostly for ascetics. We went with these particular lights since they have built in projectors. The projectors allow us to run LED bulbs and have a brighter/better light output.

Looks like they're only for the 2001-2012 Ford Rangers.

Just use a larger gauge of wire with a larger connector.
