Im also currently fitting a fiberglass tech2 kit on my sedan, at first I thought the door pods are short and doesn't reach all the way but I had a look at my friends e30 with the genuine kit on and they are meant to be a little short, the gap is there to make clearance for when the door opens so it doesn't rub against the front door.

On the side door panels not reaching the end, I believe it’s because so you can open the rear door, and they make the front door panels a little longer so that it kind of covers the space of the rear door, hopefully that make sense

These Genuine m tech 2 kits are £3000 used in the U.K. I fitted mine with the correct clips and brackets still available from BMW dealership

I'm so happy I stumbled upon a genuine M-Tech 2 kit for my E30. I was about to buy a replica kit, but the fitment seems terrible in every video I see.

Pods don't reach all the way to give you door clearance when you open the door

It’s a sports kit , Bmw did M tech mk1 kit then a few years later the m tech mk2 kit , the above video is not a genuine m tech 2 kit it’s a cheap copy
