Seeing your firewood shed reminded me, I needed to say "Thank You!" to you both for giving me the idea to have my firewood shed open on the front AND the back. I didn't have to cut the back of my shed open, I had to rotate the whole shed 90 degrees. It was empty and built on pallets, so the wife and I were able to turn it into its new position. Now, I can pull firewood from the front and load new firewood in the back.

White roof looks great. From the overheads, I could barely notice. I wonder if you'll want gutters over that sooner rather than later. The water dripping from the main roof probably sounds like it's hitting a drum! lol

Small trick/tip... At engineering supply stores you should be able to get "jobbing drills". For a quarter inch hole size they would be about an inch and a half long and have the drill profile on both ends of the shaft. Being shorter they do not break as easily and are normally much higher quality so they also stay sharp longer. Unfortunately long drills break pretty easily when drilling through unstable sheet metal.

Great work guys. You gonna do any rain water harvesting from that huge two-level roof you have so efficiently put on? I suppose that may help with the animals watering? Maybe you have enough anyway? Progress is great and it will be fantastic to see the siding going on now too! You still to finish the flashing on the upper roof as well? Anyway, great work this year with the barn and the services shed too and now the addition-build. Have a safe, wind and water-tight winter!

Do you have a couple of extension ladders and ladder jacks to use with that aluminum plank? If you have a hydraulic hose bust like I did one time it wouldn’t end well. Also, if you’re working in one place very long, you have to constantly raise it back up when the hydraulic cylinders leak down. Looking good.
