Nice bike, Mike! Now you just need a U-brake booster and a Gatorblade fork. Someone else will be happy with that P2... Congrats on your build!

Thanks Paul! Yes, that P2 fork is not my fork of choice. It's all I could find that would work right now and Gatorblades don't grow on trees! hint hint. lol Love the bike, its a head turner!

Hey Mike. I just stumbled upon your channel via Paul Brodies channel. I’m not a big cyclist but have dug deep into his motorcycle content, and through that ended up watching most of his frame building videos, so I definitely have a new appreciation for what goes into the cycle builds. I love the restomod approach you took to this build. Even better, you had the man himself comment on it! Rad. Anyway, dude, love the channel so far, you’ve got a new subscriber! Keep putting out the great content.

Thank you for your comments. I’ve been into bikes my entire life. Growing up on a small farm in the country this was the only way to get away! Lol. Fixing and assembling bikes was something you needed to learn at a young age… and it stuck with me! Glad you like my content, yes, it’s random but it things I enjoy. Cheers.

So I found you through an amp video, I see you are a guitar guy, then a car guy, now you see you also tinker with bikes. Too bad you are in the other side of the globe, we should hang out. Oh yes, my name's Mike too (actually the Greek equivalent, to be more precise)

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I have a lot of interests and like to do videos that inspire me and hopefully others. My wife and I do plan to travel to the Mediterranean one day… you never know! Lol. Cheers.

Nice! As a huge fan of Paul's KZbin channel I'm trying to find a Tange Brodie frame right now to do exactly as you are.
@MikeFreda2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, Paul's KZbin channel is magnificent. Not sure where you are located but these frame do pop up in Western and Eastern Canada quite often. I love this frame/bike but I'm thinking I may look for a Suspension compensated frame with S-Bend seat stays and rear V-Brakes... that would be my ultimate Brodie since that was the exact era I was racing in. (Mid to late 90's) Cheers

@@MikeFreda - I'd like to have front suspension geometry too as I plan to use this for the purpose Paul designed it for!
@MikeFreda2 жыл бұрын
Cool! I did speak to Paul about this. He told me that the ledger was a bit vague when the frames officially switch to a suspension geometry. He also said that the forks in those days didn’t have a lot of travel so it’s not that big of a deal if you wanted to switch a bike like mine to a period correct low travel suspension fork. I may do that.

@@MikeFreda - I'm old dude riding the muddy trails for fun, short travel isn't going to bother me!
