I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!! Kind of funny but I have a rough draft of a fan fic I've been toying with - might actually write it someday. Here's a high-level view of the idea (based on Builder and Logan being married): The setting is 20 years after the battle of Sandrock. The kids are grown and have essentially taken over the work of building and monster hunting. Andy, now an established researcher working with Qi, has been developing various tech to help fight off large monsters and devices to repel smaller creatures and rogue AI. Andy would love to have his inventions field tested but nothing in the vicinity of Sandrock is large enough or menacing enough to provide a good test of the effectiveness of his devices. Builder and Logan have contacted one of the teams established in the Peripheries after hearing stories of the progress and discoveries being made. Not only can they help Andy with testing his devices, but this is an opportunity for them to have one last big adventure together before they retire.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas as well! Mine was alright, just a lot of relaxing and doing nothing. Your idea sounds interesting! I would read it if you wrote it! I really hope the devs continue the Logan/Andy/Monster Hunting story. There is so much that can be done with that story line, it really is a shame to just leave it where they have with Sandrock and the comic, then however it continues in Evershine. The Monster Hunting Guild could be its own game, I mean look at the Witcher. That is an entire book series, video game series and TV show based on a monster hunter, Sandrock is just that minus the magic elements.

🎄Merry Christmas to you too!🎄 Thanks for watching! I've been having a lot of fun with this playthrough! It feels kinda nice taking it a little more slowly than I normally do. You should play again! I have a save that I'm romancing the town, playing at .6 speed and all I do is resource gather until I feel like I need to do story. The Sandrock game play is helping with the "I want to play Evershine" excitement! 🤣😂

Right now, we are waiting for an official timeline for release dates. The tentative dates so far for Evershine are March 2025 for Alpha testing for backers, then the full release is set for Spring 2026. They said they would set a better timeline Soon TM. I'm thinking after the new year we will hear more. I'm so excited for Evershine! Alpha better get here fast!!! 😂

Merry Christmas Lexi & I was wondering u got a Logan plushie for Christmas this year & I got doctor fang plushie for Christmas & i remember doing this part as a married person with doctor fang & it was really cool & doctor fang well he get super excited to see me today before the war & after the war here in sandrock & u should spending the holidays with Logan & nothing better then spending the holidays with your favorite character in my time at sandrock in 2024☺️🎄

Merry Christmas to you too! I didn't get a Logan plushie. I kind of want one but I never know what to do with that type of stuff. It kind of collects dust then I feel bad. I feel like I need to display them, but then I worry about them getting dirty or ruined, then they end up in a box. 😂 I did play my other save for a while yesterday so I did get to spend a little time with Logan so it was fun! 😊

Merry Christmas! I've been watching your videos while I play through again. Totally understand slowing down the story stuff. I dead stopped this run and walked around with a water tower in my inventory for almost a year 😂 I married Fang before Trudy came back 😅

Merry Christmas to you too! Good for you! I can't slow the story down that much! I wish I could though! I think the most I've held any mission is about 2-3 weeks. The way the story is now, it is way too fast. I hope for Evershine, they let us slow down the story some. I'm hoping for less pulling you straight from your door or from your bed. So many times I've wanted a chill day of just resource grinding but I get pulled into something! 😂🤣

​@Lexi_Plays_Games I normally speed through, but I missed Fang on 2 playthroughs because he takes so long. By the time I got him ready to confess, I was up to The Goat and it's like "might as well marry Logan now." 😅

Fang is a difficult one! They pushed his story so far back now it's so sad! On discord, the devs said most of his friendship missions won't even trigger now until after the Duvos stuff is done because Fang was interfering with that part of the story for some people. I liked the old timings better because it made more sense with Fang's evolution of talking/trusting more and his involvement in the main story. But oh well!

​@@Lexi_Plays_GamesThey all triggered for me fine at the point with the water tower, but on my first playthrough, they totally stopped through the Duvos part. Matilda or Larry being in the clinic stops anything from triggering. If you stop and force it as soon the bridge is open (for the cold medicine ingredients) it's less buggy.

Unless you have played the game since 1.4 update came out, so Octoberish, you haven't seen the Fang change yet. You now have to successfully complete all the clinical trial to even start his missions (X's thief mission) whereas before it was only 8 trials either success or fail. Normally I've done most of Fang's mission by this point in the story, we still have 4 to go yet. So Fang overall is delayed now by about 2-3 months, even more if you have bad timing for the mapo tofu mission. It's a bad change!
