That boot lid is exceptionally glossy.. I like it👌🏼 Nice.. I have had luck cutting a couple slits at the top of the exhaust pipe..and bend them in a bit to get the pipe to fit.. it takes some finagling.. but can be done..😎

Lol, the car has a lot of clearcoat on it and on top of that its got some spray wax, but i can only imagine how shiny it would be with a buff. Too bad theres alot of chips and dents in the paint from when the car was sitting in a garage for over a decade :( I cut the slits at the bottom, but its still way too tight. Im probably going to have the pipes stretched a bit later and refitted properly

@@squeelznpeelz3135 lotsa clear coat is a good thing.. The more clear you have.. the more you can buff off lol😈.. The chips can be fixed as well as the dings.. I have recently seen this new PDR wizardry in action.. it is quite amazing😎😯

Did you get the exhaust from Amazon? Is it a Pacesetter? Thinking of switching mine out.

I got it off of victoria british, and it is a pacesetter, but ill warn you right off the bat, you will have to have it extended most likely by a shop ( if you want your back bumper to not get covered in exhaust resedue) and the workmanship is hit or miss, so you could get a good set or you could get a bad one like me.

Just a caveat about the Pacestter/Monza system... it can deliver a fair amount of drone. I've got the system on my '74 Spitfire and the drone is pretty loud at low rpms during acceleration. I've taken to wearing earplugs as a result. Some folks may not mind, but it bugs me. The deceleration notes however are quite nice... lots of burbling. I also have a 4-2-1 header installed. No catalytic. Just FYI.

I think those rubber hangers are for hanging the long sections and the steel ha g the mufflers . The steel feet are concave to fit the pipe under clamps

I think your time would be better spent treating the rust on the boot floor and repairing the dent in the nearside rear wing. Four tailpipes look ridiculous anyway. This is from the owner of a low mileage , rust free ‘73 Spitfire Mk. 1V, in the UK,owned since 1978 .
