Installing needle positioner on a Juki DU-1181N

In this video I show you how to install a needle positioner on a Juki DU-1181N. This is the same tutorial to use if you have any non electronic DDL series machine.
If using this on a Typical GC6-7-D or Consew P1206RB, use the larger of the two screws with the adapter.

Steve i didn't like that slotted rod being near my bobbin winder so I put a 3/4" piece of bamboo inside a wire connector, crimped and covered with heat shrink tube. Bolt the connector onto rod and fit into slot of positioner. Nothing sticking out to cut or catch stuff on. 😊

Hi Steve. I have the long gold double ended screws that came with the needle positioner. I made it work, on my DU-1181n, but it’s not great. Is there a way I can get the silver pieces you used here? Thanks!

It will skip stitches, break the thread or not sew at all.

Can you adapt the neddle posición to a servo motor?

Hi Steve! I added a speed reducer to my Jukie 1181 & mow my needle positioner isnt working correctly. Do you have advice for changing the what I assume is the settings (not just the screw adjustment on small wheel on hand crank)

You can put a brushless motor with a needle positioner on a DDL-8700H.
