Revisited this video to check I'm doing things right? Bought a Venhill set because of this, excellent bit of kit worth every penny although when flaring be careful to not over do it otherwise you crack the chain pin and have to get a spare link piece! Will I ever learn, doh!!

Great vid again Chops, love your garage series, was a bit surprised you didnt go for a tooth less on the front sprocket, usually does wonders on a bike, the gearing feels more natural I would say (they use a bigger front one for the sound homologations i've been told), made a huge difference on my tuono...

Love the bling! You should check out Supersprox, they make some of the best lightweight sprockets on the market (they're called Stealth, steel teeth and aluminum core) and they also sell RK chains (including the GB520XSO, GB525XSO and GB530XSOZ1 arguably the best chains on the market right now).

What! No titanium sprocket nuts and sprocket hub bolts 😳 With around 180bhp at the wheel, I wouldn't go fast touring on it, you will be adjusting the chain a lot! with the renthal rear sprocket, even though it is Hard anodized

Best to still grind the pin heads off anyway. Less stress on the tool. I. Bet you put a bar wrapped in a towel through the rear wheel to crack the front sprocket nut.

Best invest in an impact driver mate, I had a nightmare last time I done it, for this time my impact driver should make it much easier, get impact sockets too :) Also I would always grind the pin with a Dremel, even if using an expensive chain breaker, all can break without doing so, but why make it harder on yourself and the tool.

Yes both great tips, need an electric impact driver great idea! Also top tip on the chain splitting as still hard even with the tool. I will grind it next time I do one anyway

I would check to see if dry lube is okay with this, I'm pretty sure it's not advised on street bikes. On XS ring chains you must use chain oil, no dry lube or chain wax.

@@LambChopRides I have AFAM chain and sprockets to fit to my bike, they say only use oil based lubes so I got some Rock Oil chain lube. It's supposed to reduce fling so less mess, needs leaving at least 20 mins before riding so solvents can evaporate.

Did you not flare the split link? I’ve got a d.i.d x ring chain and once I’d put the plate on you then flare the pins to make sure it doesn’t come off.

Hi there chops, I am fitting exactly the same chain and sprocket set up as yourself, could I ask you did you pean over the rivits on the link?, I got my chain and sprockets from B&C express and they came with a solid rivit link, unfortunately I now have had to puchase a Whale tool to pean over the solid rivit link DOH!, I am not to sure in your blog which rivit link you used, a hollow or solid link?, I was told by B&C express that the Sigma chain only uses the solid link to connect the chain and not a hollow link, any advice gratfully accepted.

One question about your new video, have you not gone back to hilltop ? I'm about to get a hilltop tune and would like to know if you found an alternative?
I found the Hill Top tune wasn't working well with the full system. It's much improved now with a live map specially for the bike.

It was difficult for me to tell, but it looked like your chain adjusters were adjusted quite a ways out. Should the chain been a link or so shorter to allow for more adjustment in the future? I'm not a fan of chain drive and ride mostly shaft and belt driven bikes. Perhaps when the chain begins to stretch, it is worn out.

Think that front sprocket was tight? I had to use an 21 inch breaker bar on my speed triple oil filter after the dealers over tightened it. Got proper scared it was going to shear off Lol.

I did some chain cleaning and noticed my front sprocket has two teeth broken off. I'm guessing the quick shifter. Anyone else have your current get gsxr 1000r with broken teeth? Amazing bike. Crappy heat treatment on the sprocket

Hello chops, I have that teng tools torque wrench. Handle is a bit small though lol. Good on you mate. The water pump, the sprocket, some piping and the chain look grim so all this your doing is great and Suzuki should have given better quality parts but other than that fuckin great video. Give spicy the sprocket mate and make a clock out of it haha!

Why didn't you want to clean the factory grease off the chain before fitting it? That make it a messy job to install. Guess you we're too excited to get the chain on and see how it looked.

Why did you not just take a bronze or steel brush, fasten the nuts in a vice, a little brake cleaner spray, 20 seconds of brushing and the sprocket nuts would have looked almost new....

Hi Chops. I enjoy most of your videos. You're a funny bugger with an indearing personality but the bike build series is in my opinion the weakest area of the channel. It's just bolting on after market parts. Nothing very imaginitive there. The CBR transmogrification into "Beasty" was in a different league. Creativity wins!
