Installing Off-Road Lighting On My BMW X5 😳‼️🔥| E70 Overland Build

You need to wire it to the back fuse box not the front for the dogs. If your x5 has been programmed to have fog light turn on with you turning the steering wheel it will intermittently power it. I’ve tried that before and I had the same issues. Now I have mine all wired to the back where the battery is and the fuses .

Plus the front power supply isn’t constant… if you go to realoem you can see it’s not technically wired to the alternator to the battery. I had a light bar a few months ago wired to the front and it ended up killing the one cable that is attached to the starter motor in which it killed my Junction box/computer which then BMW charged me up the a** for a new one… remember these older bmw’s are not electrical friendly… My next task on my build is doing the double battery in the trunk so you can run accessories off that battery without killing your main battery!

i used some universal hood brackets from amazon, unfortunately i dont have the link
