Installing Our New Front Porch Light and Adding a Daybed for Seating

Watch as we use a hand-me-down daybed to create more seating on our porch. I use various outdoor pillows and an old IKEA duvet cover to capture our cottage vibe. We also install a new, cottage-style front porch light (purchased at Home Depot) and it does wonders for our space!

Hey there, Your lime wash video popped up in my feed. The transformation looks wonderful, y’all should be proud of yourselves!!! I too have a red brick home and have dreamed about lime washing it for many many years. I felt your frustration about running out, when y’all were sooo close to being finished. Now watching this video with the daybed and the warmly lit porch light, add the perfect touch to your spacious front porch. Did I see a reflection of corn stalks in the window? I’d Love to see that, instead of houses and cars. 💟💟💟 I live in Dallas Texas.The street I live on is only quiet about three hours a day, in the wee hours of the night… You know, the crazy world we live in today, (esp the last 1.5 yrs) it’s been too easy to become overwhelmed, distracted and fearful. We need to step back, and remember the important, yet simple things: God is gonna take care of us, and our children learn by example, even if they’re older like mine. You two are very blessed, y’all have young kids that will learn a lot about life, hard work, and about love from caring parents. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Anyway, back to your video, Sitting or reclining on the daybed with the only sounds being the breeze in the air, (chickens and goats) while gazing out across the open sky, and beautiful green scenery, Sigh. It has been a dream for us to live out in the country, and we are so excited it has come true!
