What do you do about the gap between the filler panel and the kickboard?

Hi Bradley The gap won't be seen, so isn't much of an issue from a visual standpoint, if you are concerned about the gap you can use an off-cut or a piece of timber to close it off.

Why wouldn't you screw where the hinges are to hide the screws?

How do you finish the cut edge and not have it on show?

There are a few things you can do. I ended up lightly and carefully hand sanding a slightly rounded profile and touched it up with some colour matched furniture paint. The end result was good enough to fool the eye unless I am extremely close to it.

Exactly what I came on to ask. You would think Kaboodle would at least give you some insight as to how you would account for the rounded edges being cut.

Yah it's bullshit, they won't even custom make filler panels thinner than 80mm They don't tell you this when they sell you the kitchen... we put a man on the moon but can't manage a 40mm filler panel... it's beyond stupidity given this is their core business.

So you only attached one side of filler panel

Hi Andrew, Yes you only need to attach the filler panel on one side. The cabinet, with benchtop will stay in place and not move anywhere so you don't need to fix to both cabinets. But if you would like to, you can attach to both cabinets if you wish. Enjoy you new kitchen! kaboodle kitchen
