If he chose PFSense, listen up guys. You found a live one. It's tough to beat PFSense with the PF Firewall, integrations with CARP for load balancing, etc. In fact I would encourage him to do one with CARP and demonstrate load balancing and another with 2FA.

why i dont have VMware Virtual Ethernet Adapter on the network connections settings? i only have Intel(R) gigabit network connection how should i fix that ?
@StephenWagner2 жыл бұрын
Hi Numzy, it sounds like when you created the Virtual Machine that you left the default Intel adapter type for the NICs. When you create the VM, you need to change the type to "VMXNET3". You might be able to change it on your already provisioned VM.

@@StephenWagner okay but can you tell me where to find that setting to change the type of the adapter
@StephenWagner2 жыл бұрын
@@numzy1365 If it's on ESXi, you need to edit the VM settings, expand the NIC, and change the type in there. 🙂

@@StephenWagner its on vm workstation 16 but i think i can just make a new one’s in ESXi?

For a VMware workstation VM, shutdown the VM, open the VM's .vmx file and then change ethernet0.virtualDev to "vmxnet3". Repeat thus for each NIC.
