INSTALLING RAM BRAKE CONTROLLER TO MY 2022 RAM 1500 LIMITED!

It took about 35-40mins to install for me. A little tip for the bracket; start the screws in the backer holds but don't tighten. Snap the entire bracket and holds into the brace and then tighten. The bolts are 7mm, and on the back of the controller, you'll need a T15.

I'm getting a Circuit Short To Ground on the manual brake lever. I think its a bad module. Is the switch supposed to be lighted?

You’d think the Limited would already have that Trailer brake controler . Great video as i plan to add it to my 22 Backcountry as well. Odd thing is i had it on my 19 Bighorn and never used it . Whats great to see is the harness having them connectors pre existing to make such an upgrade!

@@MissionFlyer My 2015 Ram I picked off the Lot, was looking at the Window Sticker looking to read Tow/Package (.Upgraded Trans cooler ,6pin Trailer connector etc) . Did not see it on there, asked a Salesman that was sitting at a picnic table near by if it did and he said Yes. I walked around the back and their wasn’t even a receiver hitch under the rear bumber. I said how can this have a Tow/Package it doesn’t even have a Receiver for hitch ! He Said to me .” You put the Ball in the hole on the Bumber “ LOL 😂 🤦🏻

Your video was very helpful. Thanks. I did mine as well. Don’t understand how they say it’s a tow package when you have to buy the parts to make it one. It’s ok if you only want to tow a wheelbarrow. But you need brakes to tow anything reasonable. Cheers

Does yours say "not connected" and does the gauge not fill in when squeezing the control or applying breaks? My brother has a 2020. It says light electric and the gauge moves. Mine says not connected and no gauge movement. Haven't had the opportunity to actually connect it yet.

Something isn’t pulled in all the way, check your wires if they are all good check fuses. Did you disconnect the battery before starting?

@@MissionFlyer the battery was the very first thing I did, just took the ground completely off the post, radio was partially trying to light up(ac button ) had a bit of light but then lost it, I have it booked in to the shop tomorrow so I will see what they will find
