Installing rear camera into 2012 - 2013 Mazda 5
The camera I purchased said to be designed specifically for Mazda 5.
I was not able to attach it and with no instructions provided, I've simply removed
part of the frame and attached it with double sided tape.

hello. is the rear camera the same at the previous generation mazda 5? i have the M5 cw 2011 but i dont find the rear camera. and this on the video is the same for previous model. and the link you put in description is not workin. tanks

I think the camera I had was for 2011 as it did not fit perfectly. This system is no longer available for sale as too old. Just check ebay or Amazon, must be plenty for sale that fit.

It did not go instead, just next to it. Camera i got was designed for a previous generation Mazda 5 where it would just go overtop of the light.

how did u fine the main Power source where ur extension cord is?because i once tried it and couldnt find it.i have mazda 5 2006 model.

2006 would be similar to 2012. Depends which power source you mean. If for the camera, it is the reverse light. 2006 had different wiring for the lights as they are integrated up high. You would need to see where they go and use voltmeter to double check. All you need is to find the reverse light power.

Triggers the switch to rear camera when you put the car into reverse.

@@sigor2011 sigor2011 thanks so basically you powered the camera with the license plate light then uses a trigger wire to connect to what in the front?

@@DuhDuJour yes. Most decks I saw have a 12v wire that you need to power so they display the rear view camera.
