best cable attachment video I've seen. I'd hang out with this fellow just to have a beer and listen to him tell stories.

Thank you very much. I am fixing the cable on an '82 KZ750 after I put a better tire on the front. Speedo worked exactly like you said for a couple blocks then nada. Much Regards.

I actually had this issue on my GPZ. I thought I had got it in properly, but I found myself not being able to read my speed when I went to the gas station to get brake fluid because my rear brakes bled out on accident lol (fixed that too). It eventually caught and is working now, but i'm glad to know that something so simple can help a lot. :)

How do I know if my front wheel speedo sensor is broken
@dawino62602 жыл бұрын
If it's in right and dont spin the cable LOL ... but that little dust cover pops off easy - you can visually inspect the gear in it pretty easy .. Quickie way to be sure if it's the cable -- pop the cable off at both ends - spin the inside cable with your fingers - if the other end doesn't have the center cable spinning, it's a bad cable
@agiantman12 жыл бұрын
I like this dude's attitude. Thanks for the tip!
@thebanditsix6 жыл бұрын
Disconnect cable from wheel end then put end of cable in a drill and spin to check if cable n Speedo working if u don't have a centre stand.

@dawino62604 жыл бұрын
@@levithomas1960 speedo drive is what it was called 40 years ago .. that's still what I call em today .. bikebandit has a parts fiche up on their site .. different manufacturers call it different .. but generally if it's cable type it's a drive and if it's electronic it's a speedo sensor or "inductive pickup"
@dawino626011 жыл бұрын
pop both ends off and make sure the cable didn't snap internally - rotate your wheel make sure sending unit is still spinning - if both of those are ok it's probably the plates in your speedo (at which point it becomes cheaper to ebay in a speedo than to have a watch guy fix it)

Hey I have a question I have a 1978 gs750 and the carbs arnt giving the engine enough fuel to run it was running fine and it just stopped running so I hook the floats out and bent them a bit and it worked for 1 min and stopes running and idk what could be wrong in the carbs
@dawino626011 жыл бұрын
Generally I've been getting em pre-lubed -- when in package if caps on both ends=probably pre-lubed if no caps on ends = probably needs to be lubed

@cfazekas044112 жыл бұрын
After I put em back together it pissed fuel out of the over flow then it stopped and the engine cut out so do you think that's an improper float adjustment ?

who knows may even work on 49cc moped. i pull the cable back and forth and the speedomemoter moves but not when in the moped.
@dawino626012 жыл бұрын
If they are overflowing Float gap is USUALLY the case - (and probably in this case based on you had em floating too high before) ... needles and seats will do it - but if a gap adjustment was just performed and they didn't leak before - I'd be inclined to say bad gap and check it first -- I'd also be suspecting a gas washed engine and IMMEDIATELY before I even turned it over again - changing the oil

Does these apply to 2005 750 gxsr?
@expletivedeleted51839 жыл бұрын
I like your I don't give a fuck mentality, great shit! Hope you still respond to these posts, cause i have a question. I have a 2006 750 katana and the speedometer reads 70 when I'm only doing about 50. This wouldn't fix that problem would it? Not running right now cause I'm doing carbs, lines, pet cock and tank restore/rebuild.

The speedo should move if you spin it... Did you rotate your wheel a little to make sure the sending unit is spinning? (lot of guys mess those up when they put their wheel back on - those little ears on the cheapies are a sad joke - the real gear ones dont do that though)

I THINK you are asking is the RS125 Honda the same method -- Yes it should be -- Honda at the bottom may be a screw on cable or it may be the cable with the wing and a phillips screw -- topside will be the same at the speedo --- I'm mostly guessing at what you asked -- i read and write English, Hebrew, and Russian and guess at the rest
