In this video I will be showing you how to wire and install a reverse camera. Save yourself some money the job is quite easy to do even a rookie that has no experience with cars and wiring can do it. In each section I will go how to remove your car storage to access the wires behind the aftermarket stereo. Next, I will show you how to test your camera to verify that it actually powers on and that it works. Then show you how to connect the wires to your stereo. The next step will be showing you how to wire them to your reverse lights on the back of the car. The final step is to test the camera works when the car is set in reverse.

Verifying camera works?
You connect the yellow aux and red aux together and from the power cable. You will put that into the positive battery terminal side and then plug your end of your other yellow aux into your car stereo aux and it should power on.
How to wire the wires to the stereo?
You connect the yellow aux into the reverse video aux on your stereo. Then for the small tiny red wire with this yellow aux wire. You will have three options to make this connection work. You first strip the wires of the reverse wire of your stereo and the mini red wire next to the yellow aux. You can solder, electrical tape or crimp them. I crimped mine and no issues so far.
How to wire the wires to the reverse lights?
You connect the yellow aux to the yellow aux and then strip the mini red wire and the red wire of the power wires. Your next step is you can twist the mini red wire and the red cable together and connect it to the green reverse wire on your reverse lights. For the black wire you will strip the wires and connect that one to your black reverse light wire. Or in this option you can do four things. Solder, electrical tape, crimp or just push them into the slot of the green and black wires. Be careful not to touch them with anything metal such as a screw driver or you can cause a short.

How was you able to install the camera and not get that trunk lip straight across line. because I install mines on my 05 Honda Accord the only problem is that it has a straight across like because of the lip the trunks comes with and thats at where the license plate lights goes so when I put my car on reverse I see that lip line if you get me .

vu cao Ccdv should be your reverse. Video in is for the aux app which displays video.

shu vang hi there first I check my camera work or not like you show on video but different way , I connected in the back trunk everything like the way connect it reverse , then in the unit I connected yellow head to dvd in then the red wire I connected to ACC . push the AUX input camera come on , so my camera work and in the back trunk I connected correctly. But then I connect yellow head to CCV and red wire to reverse nothing happen when I shift reverse, I found down the reverse wire in unit does not have power when you shift reverse? I checked with my multimeter

vu cao It is most likely not wired correctly your reverse light and the power unit. If you go into reverse and nothing shows. Then you didn’t make the connection properly. Try again. And that red wire for the power input does not go into the acc wire. It goes onto your reverse wire. Should be called reverse or back up wire. It is brown.

So I hooked mine up but it doesn’t pop on the screen until I press a button then I have to go into reverse and the reverse screen is upside down

What do you mean by press a button? On the car? On the screen? Possibly they installed the reverse screen upside down or you installed it upside down.

Charles Kilbourne Your car should have an option to bring down the seats. Your seats go down and the wires go behind it.

@@shuvang You pull up the button on the back of the seat. Pull up the button while pulling the seat forward. I'd run the wire on either side and under the molding.

@@ScreenPrintR I’ve had everything set up since this video was uploaded and no issues. Whether it’s 110 degrees plus or cold temperature as 35 and below. Driving at 120 plus. No issues my end.

Thanks Shu. first, I'd buy a Nine Volt battery adapter. Use that to test your camera (power supply). Also may I suggest a head strap camera to make videos or use a couple of tripods. Small one inside the car, tall one outside the car. Myself and others are asking how you wired the Yellow cable or video cable from the back of the car to the front (how'd you feed it through). It’s been awhile. But there are only like three wires if I remember. You have to military splice your reverse tail lights wires and connect the wires onto them. The two red in the back goes together and goes on your reverse light wire. While the black goes to the black wire. Mine was color coded so it may be different for other models. Just be careful not to short anything out by disconnecting the car battery first, I just fed my wires from the trunk through the seats and hide it under the car mats to my stereo reverse plug in this case. Mine had three yellow input wires. The tiny red wire for the wire connected to the stereo reverse cable has to be soldered, crimped or electrical taped to your reverse power wire from your stereo (if your stereo does not have a reverse wire then these cameras will not work.) Make sure you do your homework on if your stereo has a back up camera wire. There are a few videos I watched back then to attempt but the process was easy overall after figuring it out. I just typed “how to install a reverse camera” the first video explains it. But like the guy and myself mention. Every car has a different color wire on the back. Make sure you know which bulbs your reverse light wire is and that’s pretty much it.

Hey so I followed all the instructions provided but when I go into reverse my din does not show the back up camera, but if I click on aux it does show the back up camera, any idea as to why it doesnt pop up on own?

There are multiple reasons why it isn't popping up when it is in reverse. It's connected to the wrong yellow wire. One is first do the test once you do the test from this video that confirms that camera works when you click on aux. Leave that yellow wire connected to that other yellow plug on your stereo. Next issue is your reverse light wiring doesn't have a proper connection. That means you soldered it or crimped it to where it doesn't form a connection. If done properly and when you make the car go in reverse. It should work automatically. Also make sure to crimp or solder the reverse wire of your stereo to the red wire from the yellow wire that is connected to your stereo. If your crimping or soldering does not form a proper connection. It will not work.

Jonathan Pham Your stereo should have a reverse wire. It should say reverse with a tag on it. That wire whatever color it is needs to be soldered or crimped with the tiny red wire attached on the camera wire. If you don’t do that you aren’t giving it any power and that is why when you go into reverse it isn’t working.

Mine lasted a year. The screen went blank. I ordered a newer version that has a bigger screen and takes the place of the storage compartment.

If I take this youTube video as an example of what MOCA is teaching, a person can start the affiliate marketing. It does take patients. Make a video of something someone wants to learn. Like this video. Setup affiliate marketing with all the suppliers. Than in the comments put the links. Naveed First half of the video is to explain how to test to make sure the camera works without doing the actual work to save yourself time. You can watch it a few times as it’s not hard. You just need to cut wires or military splice wires and connect the ends to them. Still working fine from this day.
