Installing SXS skid plate, hand guards, fork and disk guards on a 2023 KTM 300SX | Highland Cycles

Hey Morgan. I love your videos. Have you noticed that the bell crank rubs against the linkage guard and wears a flat spot in it? I have the AXP skidplate and it looks like crap after 1 season of riding. I'm add the BulletProof Designs linkage guard right now to prevent additional wear. I wish I had done this when I originally installed the skidplate.

I've been using the SxS handguards for 2 years now. I will never go back to full wraps. I ride tight, northeast woods and removing full wraps has absolutely made me a faster rider. Also, SxS has a skidplate for the XR650R as well, it's just not on their website. Make sure you pick that up as well for the BRP

What is your logic on it making you faster? I’m debating what to go with now, have always ran full wraps and they have saved me pinballing off trees..do the flags still save your levers?

@@CreekLifeTV Full wraps make me ping pong off trees. As you you, it takes a lot of energy to recover from that and really slows you down. I fully trust SxS to protect my levers, even in high speed, tight NJ woods. Now when I hit a tree with the end of my handguard, the guard flexes slightly and lets me go by. I don't lose any momentum.

@@seamarsh3756 that sounds great but it's inevitable if you're riding between trees spaced 30 inches apart and your bars are 31 inches

Looking forward to hearing what the difference in the gearing is like. I'm also curious how you would compare the XC gearing and power to a Yz250x? I'm looking at picking something up next year and am waiting to see if they put the new TBI and powervalve setup on the XCW. I've never really liked the motocross gearing for the woods especially with me being a heavy guy .

Do you know if the seat is the same for the xc and sx? I just got a 23 250sx and want to get a seat to cut down but Im having trouble finsing a oem one. It seems like they have them them for 300xc on motosport for oem parts.
