INSTALLING the GARMIN UHD 93SV on my Champion 181!

Hey there! Nice clean install! I just got the same UHD 93sv that I'll mount up front, replacing my 73cv unit. Just wanting to also do it in a way that it will be ready for Livescope in the future. I wish I had another 93sv or network ready unit to install at the console so I could use the Nav features. Do you know if the units are networked, would you be able to see the Livescope on the console unit while using it via transducer at the front? Thanks! Also, maybe take your extra zip tied transducer coil and put it around the base of the Ram mount so it doesn't move around!

Maybe a dumb question… my power cable has an obvious red power wire and a blue wire and a brown wire. Couldn’t find anything in manual about installing. Where do the blue and brown wire go?? Thank you in advance. Ken

So excited to install the two 93 SV units on my Champion 181. Suggestion for next time, try to run direct power from the graphs. Just so theres no interference and you get enough current to the units. And man, where di you get the Sweatshirt! I want a champion hoodie too!

The 93sv units are studs man. You will love them no doubt. As far as power, I may not have said but there was a power terminal under the bow where the front graph was so it was as direct as I could get. The console was direct from the battery. Now the hoodie! Join the champion boat owners on Facebook if you haven’t already. Absolute best thing I’ve done on Facebook. If you ever have a question on an install or part you need just post there and you’ll have 20+ comments in minutes. Waaaaaay better than Google lol! There’s a couple guys on the page that does the custom hoodies, shirts etc. Just ask on there and they’ll hook you up! Thanks for the sub too! Tight lines my friend.

What did you do with the "Brown" and "Blue" wire on the power cord? Also did i hear you say that both Garmins on the bow and helm are networked? What's the benefit of doing that?

Hey Joey thanks for asking. It’s been a while since I did that and honestly can’t remember. I believe they were data wires and I just taped them up. The benefit of networking is anything you mark or do on one graph it will populate on the other such as waypoints. My 2 graphs were not networked tho.

It was $99 and said for 9” graphs up to 12” I believe. There was another slightly bigger that was from 12” graphs and up.

What are the other two wires next to your hot and negative? Looks like they’re brown and blue? What did you do with them?

Hey Brady thanks for watching and for the question! Gosh I’m trying to remember, it’s been over 1.5 years. I’m pretty sure those are data wires and I just taped them up. I’ll ask my buddy who owns The Bass Tank and get back to you.

@@bradyweinert7616 ok so I was right. The blue and brown are data wires. The blue is the Tx wire and the brown is the Rx wire. I just taped mine up because I did not network them. They sell a network cable that is a little beefier you can use if you want because those wires are really small. You’ll love the graph!
