Right from start I got a bit bothered by him not putting his drill on hammer but it turned out ok I guess...no heatpump is simple run them into AL and then to the 50amp breaker.

Good work installing this yourself, it's so silly Jandy won't acknowledge DIY'ers. I just bought the IQ904-PS kit this week, I had the hardest time finding a company that would actually sell it to me. By the looks of all the websites I found it seems like Jandy has reigned in sales to private individuals trying to force everyone to purchase through an installer. Question for you: you didn't have to program the positions of the actuators? I figured you have to tell it (somehow) which direction was which, i.e. actuate the valve up and it's pushing water to the pool or down it's pushing water to the spa. Thanks

Generally speaking, the valve is turned from the 3 o'clock position 180° to the 9 o'clock position. If this is the opposite of what you need, just flip the toggle switch on the underside of the valve actuator.

because there is something called electrical code that almost all homeowners don't know about. It's to protect against electrical hazards that could occur when done incorrectly. As an electrician, I see so much horrible electric work that homeowners have done themselves. I can also see issues with some of the work done in this video. Would not pass a City electrical inspection..

I know everyone wants to save money but please do not do your own electric work especially on a pool. I cannot stress that enough. Is would also recommend you GFCI protect that sub panel and check all your pool bonding. Again this is how people get killed or harm other innocent people by doing their own electric work.

How is the heater holding up? I'm installing this as well and as per the manual the heater control wires should be 14awg.

Sorry I just saw this message. The heater is doing very well now. As you can see in the video, the original installer used 12ga to run power. It needs to be 6ga.the 14ga is good for the controller box to the automation unit. No power runs through that, it's just data.

I cannot get the jandy filter pump button to start the pump. Any tips on what I should check? Everything is connected correctly.
