If you have not already done it, put in a high volume oil pump kit on the Buick V6. It's an external job, no need to drop the pan because the Buick oil pump in built into the timing cover.

I'll make a note of that when I rebuild it! Any tips / resources on rebuilding?

@@waltersunrise1584 no sorry, I didn't rebuild mine, it ran like a champ. But do the oil pump right away if you're going to keep driving it. It's a couple it hours work, really easy. My hot idle oil pressure went from 5 to 35.

Woah, sorry for the late reply! I think I made a video on it a while back. There's a spacer ring between the primary shaft and the back of the tranny by where the transfer attaches which I never installed, creating some slop in the system. After installing it and losing a bunch of expensive redline MT90 :( the problem was solved :). However, The transfer has its own host of issues now. 4wd is very finicky, and in order to actually engage it, it 1: has to be in low possibly because of the single lever style system, and 2: has to be jiggled and messed with, only to pop out after very light usage. Not to mention, it's still leaking everywhere, and I've been wrestling with sealing the front yoke and such. getting those splines sealed is no easy task.
