I have a question please. Is it recommended to do a partial shake replacement (perhaps 600 sf on a 1200 sf side of a house)? Specifically how is the mesh underlayment and roofing tarp paper aligned when trying to tie in existing shakes with new shakes over a large surface. Our concern being potential leaks where the new shakes abut with the existing shakes. Thanks. Helpful video!

Nice work I hope your crew has updated their saw by now throw that roybi in the trash or give it to a home owner. We use a 6-1/2 Milwaukee 18v it’s light weight and enough juice for the cedar doesn’t need much to cut it

Agreed, some smaller portable saws do work very well, especially on steep roofs. Due to the low pitch of the roof, the crew was able to comfortably use the circular saw for cutting the cedar.

Sounds like you're volunteering to gift them a new 18volt Milwaukee. LMAO
