This is an elegant video showing how simple it is to install the SDR to make a large screen panadapter for one's IC-7300. Thanks, Ken!

Not really Phillips Head screws that attach the cover, they're JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) screws. You risk damaging the screws if you use a standard Phillips Head screwdriver.
@daviddeas64863 жыл бұрын
What is JIS, and what's the difference? I have Phillips and Reed & Prince, never heard of JIS.

Other than mounting issues, can the PTRX-7300 and Inrad RX7300 be installed and used simultaneously? A panadapter and second receive antenna.

How do you loosen the screws? Mine are so tight, I am afraid I'll strip them out!
@tonymcgee11464 жыл бұрын
Stripping them is easy to do. Make sure your screwdriver fits perfectly, press down firmly and unscrew slowly, you should be ok
@kevinmaxson7304 Жыл бұрын
I stripped one of mine out using a Phillips screwdriver. I finally had to use another Phillips bit attached to a cordless hammer drill. Just the tapping of the hammer drill broke the screws free. Out of 14 screws, three of them wouldn't budge with a regular screwdriver.

What are the correct baud rate and com ports? Thanks, de N5DHT
@RSwrightMD4 жыл бұрын
The baud rate is what you have the 7300 set with for CAT. The com ports are those you are using for your 7300 CAT control.

The company that makes these is seriously price gouging. If we had that type of extra money we would of used it toward the 7610. Does any company care about the consumer anymore?
