Absolutely unbelievable. Transformed the bike. I had no idea just how bad the stock US street legal map was.... All of my complaints about off idle performance, low RPM flameout, and hard start in the cold just vanished. Well done Mike. Knocked it out of the park on this one.

Installed mine today! It fixed the 6th gear pinging I was getting from running 15/45 gearing. I can run down the freeway at 80 mph here in Utah all day without worrying about to much engine wear. 2023 KTM 500

Thanks for this video, definitely helped out! One thing that made setting up the wireless access a bit more confusing for me is that the app / wireless module wouldn't stay connected between sessions where I was trying to do the setup. Each time , I'd look at the instructions and then turn the bike back on and open the app, I needed to go to my phone internet connection setting and reconnect the Athena module. Once I realized that, I'd be sure to do a manual wireless reconnect on my phone and then go back to do my set up wirelessly. Prior to installing this ECU, I had an end cap and a power commander unit o richen the mix up and the bike ran much much better than stock. With that mod, front end would come up a bit when gassing it hard in 1 - 3 gears and also got rid of engine flame outs. With the new ECU and the same end cap the bike runs noticeably stronger , for example , I can definitely tell that the front end comes up much easier in the first 3 gears. The power commander module is still a good buy for someone looking to get the bike to run better than stock and fixes the flameout issues but this ECU is another step up if you can afford it.

2 questions... 1. Does the GET ECU need/use the OEM O2 Sensor? 2. Is the GET map switch just on/off. I don't want to crowd my cockpit with that big switch just for map changes. I'd rather have a small rocker or dial selector switch where it doesn't take up cockpit real estate.

Map switch is not on/off. It is map 1 or 2 and either is always on. You do not need to use or install the switch for it to work. You can select map 1 or 2 using wifi.

I live in Europe, can I just buy the SX1 from a local dealer and load the Taco moto maps on it? Or how does this work if I want the SX1 to work well for trail riding?

When I do the TPS on my 2014 I get -2% when my throttle is closed and 100% with my throttle opened. This is after calibrating. Is this ok?

I installed the SX1 ECU on a 2023 KTM 500. When I try setting up the Wi-Fi module I can connect to the network but it will not import my bike on the app. I notice I have a solid green light not flashing. Apparently I’m doing something wrong.

Installed my Taco Moto SX1 GET ecu yesterday on a new '24 500 EXC-F six days with wifi module and traction control knob. Video was indispensable but also made it sooo easy. Setting the idle speed in the final step with the GET app was pretty cool. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can go ride. @tacomotoco A 4-way accessory cable splitter was also included in the box that the install video did not mention, what is that used for, or rather, what can it be used for?

When I purchase the ECU I’m assuming I would select stock exhaust but how do I get it updated when I decide to get the aftermarket exhaust? Is that done without having to send the ECU back to you?

Mike I appreciate your making this video and all of the input you give this community. Long time follower and purchaser of your superior products. I have installed the SX1GET ecu on my 2022 EXCF 500 per your instructions here in this video. However I am not clear on setting the idle speed. I did as you directed to turn in the idle screw 4 full turns in. Once that was done I fired up the bike and it ran/idled at 4800 rpm which seems way out of spec. Can you give the RPM that we are shooting for? Also, I am not clear on how to adjust the idle with the ECU GET app. Please explain.

Idle on that bike is 1800-1900 measured on a hot engine, the app only shows engine data on the green WiFi modules

If you want to route the wires in a clean manner then yes. It’s one bolt in the tank, a quick disconnect of the fuel line, and a quick disconnect of a wire housing.
