Installing Toyota Cressida (mx73) FUEL PUMP

We have been having some starting issues on the Cressida so today ill be changing out the fuel pump. Im changing it out because we think it will help eliminate the no start issue.

I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla Alltrac and its been having starting issues, sometimes it starts and other times not. When it starts it runs fine with no issues at all. Not sure what the problem is.

Where was the relay located you replaced? Having the exact same issue i believe.. the fuel level unit is getting power but the fuel pump has no voltage

I found it in another 85 Cressida at the junkyard. Just oem junkyard part lol

No just mail relay was bad.

Unfortunately the relay wasnt my problem. Im not getting power to the second relay behind the passenger kick panel. I bypassed and the fuel pump is working so still figuring out my issue. Its been such a joy

@@pohboysgarage i just put direct power to the pump and it started working on its own after that. Weird

@@alanpoteet4340 hey Alan, did you apply power directly to the positive and negative terminal on the fuel pump? Or did you apply it to the wire that leads up to the trunk.

it ended up being the main relay. I bought a new one but it ended up being bad. I got lucky at a junkyard and they had a Cressida with a relay and it worked.
