Installing TwinCAT 4026 XAR on PLC

What I never discussed was how to install the XAR, the runtime on the PLC

I like the idea of having a package based system so you do not need to install all components on every PLC, BUT: 1.) You have a 250MB Package Manager just to download some files. This is more than 2 times the size the full TwinCat 2 installation was. Why not just make a leightweight desktop application instead of shipping a whole browser. Also why cant they make the packages an exe file. 2.) Why is there no GUI option for creating offline packages? 3.) Dont know if this is a HyperV issue, but package manager does not start on my Win10 32 Bit test machine. 4.) Also it seems that the 4026 development environment is incompatible with 4024 runtimes if you are using visualizations (TS1800). You are forced to update your visualization profile in which case the project will not boot on 4024 runtimes. Also there is no way to install 4024 in parallel. Even remote manager does not help. Do not know if there is a solution for that yet.

1-2 personal preference issue 3 - try 64bit 4 - I'm using 4024 remote manager while 4026 installed, the key is to use 32bit shell with remote manager.
