uhm, correction: The UHD 600 actually supports windows 7 (I tried it on a laptop containing the UHD 620 GPU and it successfully installed) you just gotta dig through the internet to find it

i installed windows 7 on a modern laptop, and all i had to do is just put windows 7 on my usb, plug it into the laptop, boot from usb, clean all the other drives, delete the GPT drive to create some unallocated space, click new, select alot of gigabytes, and clicked next.

I installed windows 7 in an windows 10 laptop today. Download the latest intel hd graphics driver, aero will work, if it's bad CPU it will work very slow but still, glass is transparent.

I tried installing some modded UHD 600 Graphics driver but it didn't install correctly (error 43) due to it being unsigned, I didn't try pressing F8 while booting, which apparently disables driver signature.

Also, try checking the BIOS as well. Some BIOS have a "Windows 7" mode which lets you boot the ISO without modifications. Also, Intel UHD600 will easily support Aero, just install the drivers. If it still doesn't work, there is a registry hack to force Aero anyway.

I tried installing Win7 in native EFI mode onto a GPT HDD and it was a failure. Perhaps you can make another video trying to do just that.

As long as my BIOS supports CSM, I don't need to install it in UEFI mode, you can either get CSM on the hardware, or rename a bunch of files for UEFI install. CSM Install Method: kzbin.info/www/bejne/panTeaKviN-ibrcfeature=shared UEFI Install: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpuWmGekd56id9kfeature=shared

Hello. Do you know how can i install windows 7 ultimate and dualboot with lubuntu 18.04 LTS? I have lubuntu already installed and i have wine, but wine is not working well on my 16 years old laptop. (Dell Vostro A860)

I guess install win7 first, then partition the drive using the disk management tool, then make a bootable usb of lubuntu, then install lubuntu on that partiton, idk if lubuntu supports mbr or only gpt

does your bios have CSM (Legacy Support)? If it's UEFI only then tough luck, there's a method on how to get CSM on UEFI only hardware if that's the issue, like what problem occurs to your pc?

@@techpal. Well it’s a UFFI only bios and instead of doing the ACPI error it just locks up and then reboots. it’s the H2O insider bios and it’s a core i5 11th Gen and 12.0 GB of Ram it came with Windows 11

get a windows 7 iso, open the app, go to the browse section or the 3 dots button idk which one, select the iso, make sure all the boxes are ticked, the shutdown pc when finished setting is optional, then click start

@@techpal. Yeah I know but imo there's no point in really installing on a modern hardware host system. Like sure I guess you could do it if you wanna build a retro gaming computer or something else but other than that, it's not really worth it imo. So installing it in VirtualBox is the only thing that's kinda resonable. And before you say it, I just wanna clarify that yes I like both Windows 7 & XP, and if I could downgrade to either of those os then I would've.
