"instancify" FREE plugin. Convert all identical objects to instances Automatically

"instancify" is a workflow plugin that finds all objects with identical topology, retains a single one as the Source Object and converts the rest to instances by connecting them to the Source. This way, if your scene has many identical objects, you can quickly convert them to instances. You can chose to convert a single object, selected objects or all objects in your scene.

This is an incredibly useful tool, I just tried it in conjunction with CV-ArtSmart which can create a lot of duplicates and it worked flawlessly. One small nice to have thing for me would be, and I dont want to say request because its already so good, and free, maybe something I'd try to modify it myself for if I get time, is to collect all the instance sources under a "sources" null, so the project is fully made up of instances and you have full control to modify them from one easy to find location in the object manager. Thanks again!

@@noseman Great plug-in - thanks! But I have another interesting idea re similarity. For example, when importing SolidWorks models C4D doesn't recognize instances so everything comes in as a unique objects. And turning 100 identical bolts into proper instances is quite time-consuming! But if we modify the similarity criteria from "identical points" to something else we should be able to find identical objects; the identical number of vertices, edges, and polygons, identical object size (unscaled), identical volume (unscaled), similar "centroid" coordinates, ... A plug-in like that would be a gift from the Gods!

Render instance uses up less memory but even the simple instance allows you to edit the single object and all of them will change. So it's overall a huge benefit.
