I understand why people say Audacity is not recommended as a DAW, but if you just want to sing, play instruments, and overdub yourself, it's great. Better than learning an entire bloated piece of software you will likely never use 90% of just to use it as a glorified tape machine. It's quite literally more powerful than what The Beach Boys had when recording Pet Sounds, and at least 10* easier to use! ;)
